Cruise the Coast – Summer Ride Ideas

Head out on the open road … here are some summer 2013 ride ideas highlighted in our recent newsletter:

Boothill Country Jamboree
August 1-5: The premier southern Ontario Country music festival in Chatham-Kent. 5 days of camping – 3 days and 4 nights of country music! “Red Neck Games”, tug of war-mud pit, Red Neck Queen, Red Neck Fashion Show, fun Karaoke contest, beach volleyball and best decorated campsite contest! boothilljamboree.com. Over 20 Country stars: Aaron Pritchett (above), Joe Diffie, Charlie Major and more, are coming to Chatham-Kent.

Ride the Route of Rock Legends

With Mumford & Sons on their way to our area August 23-24, ride down early and explore the route the band took when scoping Gentlemen of the Road Tour plans.
Norfolk County was home for Rick Danko, who along with Robbie Robertson and Levon Helm, played area dance halls in the ’60s before forming The Band. Explore the route of rock music legends like Rick, Ronnie Hawkins and others. “Getting out of town and into the countryside is so fun,” Marcus Mumford told Rolling Stone magazine, who rides a motorcycle.
He and his band mates are heading to Norfolk County this summer. How about you?
